lorannah says.... Also now seems as good a time as any to explain what I was trying (not entirely successfully) to do with the colouring in these pictures. Since I drew them each set has been a pair - with the exception of the twins the layout can act as bookends or mirror images, though there are diferences. Percy and the twins were unified more by being crowded, I was trying to get a sense of small, busy places for them both. I've been trying to reflect this colourwise - so Bill and Charlie had cool blues and greens as their predominant colours, Percy and the twins have browns (although the twins are supposed to be a more vibrant version) and Ron and Ginny will be reds and oranges. There's also some progression through the pictures, the browns of the dragon in Charlies picture are repeated here, while the colours of the books are repeated in George's jumper. All of this babbling is of course to disguise the fact that I'm not a great colourer - but I'm learning ;) 01/04/08 | 05:10AM |
